The Merchants of Véra Nälia is the tale of two complex European men;
Rosaire and Seraphim who become caught up in the glamour and
seduction of a world outside our own. Taking place in 17th
century France, a caravan of merchants made up of killers
and thieves travel the Middle East before returning to the
City of Lights where they are swept away and dazzled by a
thrilling world gifted to them by a mysterious and seductive man.
Whether it is a curse or a gift is in the eye of the beholder,
but the world of carnal passion and unnerving horrors will surely
entice you to be lost in the magic and dread of absolute obsession.

Our Father, who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, On earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, As we forgive those who trespass
against us. And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power,
and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen. The Lord's Prayer
Leila groped for heaven,
she grasped for freedom from her captivity with Darko, yet so close she may have
been to the gleaming gates and Peter's hand, she was still tied by obligation to the purgetory
she called life. We both tried to pull her weary body, so broken with lonlyness to our
heaven, but somehow, we had been led astray- The Merchants of Véra Nälia

They sung in high voices, eerie choruses rose from a mass of rats at their feet. The woman watched me as I hung with chains from the center of an opera stage. The woman’s faces were ugly and all of them looked familiar. They danced and the dance was queer. A strange dance that involved contorting backwards and spasming in place, legs becoming bowed and necks cracking from one angle to another. Among all the dancing circles of satanic women was a man...
“The same reason you do so love Ireland with its firm green islands and disappearing faces and would rather be there than France.” He smiled serenely and ran a hand through his thick unkempt blonde hair.
